SAMACHEER KALVI CURRICULUM
At Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, we follow the Samacheer Kalvi (Tamil Nadu State Board Uniform System of School Education) curriculum, as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The Samacheer system ensures uniformity in education across all schools in the state, aiming to bridge gaps between different social and economic backgrounds. It emphasizes:
• Integrated and balanced learning across all subjects
• Conceptual clarity through activity-based and student-centred approaches
• Equal importance to academics, values, and co-curricular growth
• Bilingual proficiency through strong language learning
• Skill-based education that prepares students for real-world challenges
The curriculum is designed to promote holistic development, foster critical thinking, and instil ethical values, all of which align with our Salesian vision of forming wellrounded, socially responsible individuals.
